Our Story
We are a bilingual pre-school that is open term time to provide the foundations for children to learn and gain confidence with their transition to school. Based in the Penderyn Community Centre and with access to ‘Yr Eithin’ we have been inspired to develop an outdoor focused approach seeing the potential the outdoors had to offer the children.
With us, you can expect a professional personal service which thrives on our passion to make each day a happy, safe and stress-free environment for the children to develop and learn through play and imagination. To create, think and do.

Meet The Team
It might be reassuring to know that the qualities that you value in a person to look after your child are just the kind of qualities we value too. Warmth, sensitivity and understanding are characteristics we look for and value in our team at Cylch Meithrin Penderyn. We believe when you have this alongside qualifications and experience children can thrive.
Emma
Hello, I’m Emma the leader of Cylch Meithrin Penderyn, established in February 2016. I have seen Meithrin grow and develop and have worked hard to meet parents needs over the years from being a sessional care provider to full day care. Bringing with me years of childcare experience, it is an honor to lead such a fantastic team who are dedicated to providing a safe stimulating learning environment for children age between 2 to school age. The team strive to ensure all children are treated as individuals, ensuring their developmental needs are met along with providing the best possible love and care.
Karlie
Hi, I’m Karlie deputy leader of meithrin, I joined as a volunteer in 2016, I knew then that this was the career change I wanted to make. I have since gained full time employment here whilst training. I obtained my level 5 in childcare and education and currently training as a forest school leader. I enjoy seeing the achievements children make and their development from little toddlers to being ready for school. I enjoy implementing changes and development from a professional practice and as a team we work very well together.
Sam
Hello, my name is Sam.
When joining the team I was able to bring with me a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. I enjoy spending my time getting to know the children and their different abilities and helping them achieve the best they possibly can.
I feel we are a unique setting where we offer a personal service. We are a dedicated team of staff ensuring all users are happy and each child’s needs are met. With the constant development of our setting I am looking forward to the next 5 years.
Catherine
Hi, I’m Catherine, I am the ‘ti a fi’ leader (mother and baby group leader). Since 2017 I have loved working with such an amazing team, I am very passionate about working with young children and have 15 years of experience.
